Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the TriviaX app or our website, whether with an account or as a guest, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the app or the website.

2. Use of the App

  • The app may be used for entertainment purposes only.
  • You may not use the app for any illegal or offensive activity, or for anything that harms other users or the system.
  • You may not use automated means, attempt unauthorized access to the app's services or database, or circumvent usage limits.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these Terms, without notice.
  • Names, nicknames, avatars and scores are shown publicly in games, groups and the leaderboard. You can permanently delete your account at any time.
  • Data from playing as a guest may be lost if you delete the app or change devices.

4. Content You Share

  • You are responsible for the group names, nicknames, messages and images you share, and you must have the right to use them.
  • You may not post any content that is abusive, racist, sexual, violent, or that violates the rights or privacy of others.
  • You give us permission to store this content and show it to you and to the players you share it with in games and groups, to the extent needed to run the service.
  • We may remove any content that breaks these rules, or restrict the account linked to it, without notice.

5. Voice Chat and Code of Conduct

  • Voice chat is available in groups and game rooms. Microphone permission is requested only when you join.
  • Abuse, harassment, threats or sharing inappropriate content during voice chats are not allowed.
  • A group admin can mute or remove participants, and we may restrict any user's access to voice chat if they violate these Terms.
  • Voice chats have limits on the number of participants and session length, and these limits may differ for VIP subscribers.
  • We do not record voice chats, and users may not record or share them without the consent of all participants.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the app, including questions, topics, design, icons and logos, belongs to TriviaX. No part of it may be reused or copied without written permission.

7. Subscriptions and Payment

VIP benefits and other purchases are offered only as in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play.

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm an in-app purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
  • When you cancel, your benefits stay active until the end of the paid period, and your account then returns to the free plan.
  • Refund requests are handled by the App Store or Google Play and are subject to the store's policies.
  • You cannot delete your account while a VIP subscription is active, so you must cancel the subscription first.

8. Ads

Ads are shown to users without a subscription. By using the app, you agree to these ads being shown.

9. Third-Party Services

The app relies on external services such as Firebase, Agora, LiveKit, Google AdMob, Adapty, the App Store and Google Play, and their use is subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for outages or failures of these services. See the Privacy Policy for details.

10. Changes and Termination

We reserve the right to change these Terms, or to change or discontinue features, at any time. We will let you know about any material changes through in-app notifications or by email. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept it.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for any direct or indirect losses resulting from use of the app, including malfunctions, dropped calls, data loss or incompatibility with your device, nor for content shared by users or what they say in voice chats.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes relating to use of the app will be settled before the Canadian courts.
